Default water leak into trunk

i have been bedevilled by insistent water ingress into trunk. tried all sorts of fixes. finally found source:
the chrome finisher that runs along bottom width of rear window: the top edge of this chrome piece had very small gaps, but this allowed water to enter trunk at an unacceptable rate. i used to have water come into rear "parcel" shelf also, until i rtv'd the rear seal. man, you guys gotta pull all panels out of trunk, feel in the wells either side, and pull up rear parcel shelf to check for ingress.
do you know there is a "water curtain" behind rear seat piece???? what confidence did jaguar cars ltd. have to find this necessary?
i have fixed, through tenacious attention, leaks under footwells, front AND rear, parcel shelf, and trunk. it has been quite a process, believe you me, but the satisfaction meter is PEGGED.
